The essence of the project is: establishing of vocational guidance standards, based on the “Vocational Guidance Standard for Deaf People”, 2005 created in Austria within the scope of LEONARDO Pilot Project “VOGS” and 2007-2009 developed by TOI project “VOGS+” in Estonia, according to the special needs in vocational guidance for the deaf and hearing impaired people in Lithuania and Hungary.

The resulting establishment process and experiences in different backgrounds, the “VOGS+ Deaf” will test and disseminate in LT, EE and HU.

Completed “VOGS+ Deaf” model will be integrated into existing vocational guidance systems through the training of practising counsellors.

The project is implementing in 2010-2012 in partner states: Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary and Germany. All partners’ organizations are working generally in the field of vocational guidance and training and particularly working with the disabled people and the deaf. The expected results of the project are: issued toolbox for the vocational guidance of the deaf in LT and HU, and prepared vocational guidance’ counsellors in tandem (hearing and deaf), trained to work with the “VOGS+Deaf” tool for further counselling of deaf and hearing impaired people.
